Live in the Moment!

A message from Dr. Wayne Dyer…

I love this message so much that I had to share it here. I hope you enjoy it and follow Dr. Wayne Dyer’s wisdom. If you want to sign up for Wayne’s Weekly Wisdom follow the link at the end of this article.

This day that you’re living right now is the only day you get. Period. You can resolve to be skinny when next July rolls around, or to quit smoking next month, or to write that book you’ve been meaning to, or to embark on your overdue exercise program by the end of this year. You can go about resolving until the cows come home, and you still have to live your life just like everyone else on the planet: One day at a time.

You can only live minute to minute. You can certainly use up your present moments thinking about what you’ll be doing in the future, but that doesn’t change the fact that you can only live in the now. The important question to be asking yourself is:

How am I going to live in the present moment this year?

Will I waste these moments reviewing the way I used to behave? Will I waste these moments reviewing how I would like to behave in the future rather than resolving to live each day to the fullest?

The New Year is a good time to initiate a plan so you can make some changes and help live your life to the fullest. See if you can practice thinking differently. Decide very specifically what it is that you would like to change about yourself in 2015. If you have some goals in mind, vow to work on them day by day rather than making them a year-long project.

When you set up day-to-day goals for yourself, you can begin living this way for the rest of your life. Remember this little piece of advice, which will be extremely helpful to you if you can incorporate it into your life: When you go for one entire day without eating sugar (or not smoking, or being assertive, or any other new behavior), you are a totally different person at the end of that day. What you must learn to do is let that totally different person decide on the second day whether to do it again on this new day, rather than letting the same old person decide today that it is going to be difficult in a couple of days anyhow, so what’s the use. Always let the New You make the decision, and then you’ll be living your present moments.

Remember, you are in control of all thoughts in your head. When you are using up your present moments to worry about the future, constantly reviewing the past to come up with how you should have done it differently, or contemplating disaster, remind yourself that you are wasting this particular present moment.

Practice cancelling out negative thoughts for a few minutes at a time. Vow to enjoy the next five minutes regardless of what has previously transpired or what you think is about to happen. Remind yourself of the folly of wasting your present moments on mental activity that focuses exclusively on your past or imagined future. All of your thoughts about what you should have done, or how terrible things were in the past will not change one tiny slice of the past.

As you celebrate this New Year and each precious present moment, here are 10 reminders to help you live in the Now:

  1. Remember that habits are changed by practicing new behavior. By practicing new thinking every five mintues, you’ll soon begin to master the art of present-moment living.
  2. Do an honest assessment of your “problems.” You’ll very likely discover that almost all of your problems are really in your head and not located in reality.
  3. Take time to be mindful of everything around you. Begin to look at your entire surroundings in a new light. Observe every detail on every face, every building and every object. If you do this often enough it will become a habit that will facilitate your being alive in every moment of the year.
  4. Change your attitude. Begin an attitude-redevelopment plan. That means practice enjoying everything you do.
  5. Be specific about what you want and take action. Decide on one thing that you would like to work on and do it today. Work at it daily, rather than making it a long-range objective.
  6. Create a self-improvement agenda for yourself. Put on your agenda whatever activities you’ve always thought about but never had time to do. Do them now.
  7. Rid yourself of mundane chores that are not really that important. Spend more time making your life a pleasure.
  8. Eliminate procrastination as a lifestyle. Instead of talking to yourself about what you are going to do next week or even tomorrow, use this time to start a new task.
  9. Don’t give up control of your life to others. You cannot enjoy the present moment if you are busy trying to make everyone else like you. People respect you more when you operate from a position of strength and self-reliance.
  10. Feel good about yourself. You are a magnificent human being. Always feel good about that self that you are always with.

For 2015, as I have for many other years, I vow to be fully alive and see the world the way Walt Whitman described it to be many years ago: “To me…every cubic inch of space is a miracle.” I really believe that.

I wish you a New Year filled with many miracles. May you live a long and productive life—one present moment at a time.

The Subconscious Mind and The Inner Process

The Importance of working with the Subconscious Mind

The information stored in the subconscious mind determines how we view, face and respond to our life experiences. To explain the concept, we usually represent the mind with the image of an iceberg, as you can see below. The top part represents the conscious mind, and the bottom part represents the subconscious mind.

The conscious mind is the part that does all the thinking and reasoning, and it takes about a 10% of the mind capacity. It is where your will resides, and where you make decisions and choices.

The subconscious mind, also called the emotional or feeling mind, holds every single one of your thoughts, feelings or ideas. This part of the mind also controls the processes that occur in your body without your conscious effort. Breathing, pumping blood in and out of your heart, and also driving, and riding a bike are good examples. Once the ideas and thoughts are impressed in the subconscious mind, they become part of your personality.

People often come for assistance to release emotions or experiences based on what they believe is causing the issues determined at a conscious level. The INNER Process allows the practitioner to detect the core issue determining the negative emotional responses that challenge us.

Life is About the Rise, Not the Fall

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.

Make life about the rise, not the fall. Next time you feel you’ve slowed down, look back to see how far you’ve come, and look ahead to bring your attention back to your goal, and GO FOR IT!

Patience and perseverance have a magical effect before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish.

Emotions in the Hawkins Scale of Consciousness

Hawkins Scale

Learn about the emotions in the Hawkins Scale of Consciousness and its description. Where are you at the majority of the time?

Shame: (20)

The level of shame is perilously proximate to death, which may be chosen out of Shame as conscious suicide or more subtly elected by failure to take steps to prolong life. In shame we hang our heads and slink away, wishing that we were invisible. It’s destructive to emotional and psychological health, and makes us prone to physical illness.

Guilt: (30)

Guilt manifests itself in a variety of expressions, such as remorse, self-recrimination, masochism, and the whole gamut of symptoms of victimhood. Unconscious Guilt results in psychosomatic disease, accident proneness and suicidal behavior. Guilt provokes rage and killing frequently is its expression.

Apathy: (50)

This level is characterized by poverty, despair, and hopelessness. The world and the future look bleak. Apathy is a state of helplessness, its victims needy in every way, lack not only the resources, but the energy to avail themselves of what may be available. Unless external energy is supplied by a caregiver, death through passive suicide may result.

Grief: (75)

This is the level of sadness, loss and dependency. Those who live at this level live a life of constant regret and depression. This is the level of mourning, bereavement, and remorse about the past. In Grief one sees sadness everywhere, this level colors one’s entire level of existence.

Fear: (100)

From the viewpoint of this level, the world looks hazardous, full of traps and threats. Once Fear is ones focus, the endless worrisome events of the world feed it. Fear becomes obsessive and may take any form. Fear limits growth of the personality and leads to inhibition. Because it takes energy to rise above Fear, the oppressed are unable to reach a higher level unaided.

craving more important than life itself. Desire has to do with accumulation and greed. Want can start us on the road to achievement. Hence Desire can become a springboard to yet higher levels of awareness.

Anger: (150)

As people move out of Apathy and Grief to overcome Fear as a way of life, they begin to want; Desire leads to frustration, which in turn leads to Anger. Anger expresses itself most often as resentment and revenge and is, therefore, volatile and dangerous. Since Anger stems from frustrated want, it’s based on the energy field below it. Frustration results
from exaggerating the importance of desires. Anger leads easily to hatred, which has an erosion effect on all areas of a person’s life.

Pride: (175)

In contrast to the lower energy fields, people feel positive as they reach this level. However Pride feels good only in contrast to the lower levels. Pride is defensive and vulnerable because it’s dependent upon external conditions, without which is can suddenly revert to a lower level. Pride is fueled by the inflated ego which is always vulnerable to attack. Hence the downside of Pride is arrogance and denial. These characteristics block growth.

Courage: (200)

At the 200 level, power first appears. Courage is the zone of exploration, accomplishment, fortitude, and determination. At the lower levels the world is seen as hopeless, sad, frightening, or frustrating, but at the level of Courage, life is seen to be exciting, challenging, and stimulating. At this level of empowerment, one is able to cope with and effectively handle the opportunities of life. Hence growth and education become attainable goals. Obstacles that defeat people whose consciousness is below 200 act as stimulants to those who have evolved into the first level of true power. People at this level put back into the world as much energy as they take; at the lower levels, populations as well as individuals drain energy from society without reciprocating.

Desire moves us to expend great effort to achieve goals or obtain many centuries and, curiously, only jumped to its current level of 207 rewards. Desire is also the level of addiction, wherein it becomes a within the last decade.
Neutrality: (250)

Energy gets very positive as we get to this level. Below 250, consciousness tends to see dichotomies and take on rigid positions. The Neutral condition allows for flexibility and nonjudgmental, realistic appraisal of problems. To be Neutral mean to be relatively unattached to outcomes; not getting one’s way is no longer experienced as defeating, frightening or frustrating. This is the level of safety. People at this level are easy to get along with and safe to be around and associate with
because they are not interested in conflict, competition or guilt. These people are comfortable and relatively undisturbed emotionally. This attitude is nonjudgmental and doesn’t lead to any need to control other people’s behavior.

Willingness: (310)

This level of consciousness might be seen as a gateway to the higher levels. At the Neutral level, jobs are done adequately, but at the level of Willingness, work is done well and success in all endeavors is common. Growth is rapid here; these are people chosen for advancement. Below the 200 calibration, people tend to be closed-minded, but by level 310, a great opening occurs. At this level, people become genuinely friendly, and social and economic success seem to follow automatically. People here are helpful to others and contribute to the good of society. They’re also willing to face inner issues and don’t have major learning blocks. With their capacity to bounce back from adversity and learn from experience, they tend to become self-correcting. Having let go of Pride, they’re willing to look at their defects and learn from others.

Acceptance: (350)

A this level a major transformation takes place, with the understanding that one is oneself the source and creator of the experience of one’s life. All people below 200 tend to be powerless and see themselves as victims, at the mercy of life. This stems from a belief that the source of one’s happiness or the cause of one’s problems is “out there”. At the Acceptance stage, nothing “out there” has the capacity to make one happy, and love isn’t something that’s given or taken away by another,
but is created from within. Acceptance allows engagement in life on life’s own terms, without trying to make it conform to an agenda. The individual at this level isn’t interested in determining right or wrong, but instead is dedicated to resolving issues and finding out what to do about problems. Long-term goals take precedence over short-term ones; self discipline and mastery are prominent.

Reason: (400)

Intelligence and rationality rise to the forefront when the emotionalism of the lower levels is transcended. This is the level of science, medicine, and of generally increased capacity for conceptualization and comprehension. Knowledge and education are here sought as capital. This is the level of Nobel Prize winners, great statesmen, and Supreme Court justices. Einstein, Freud, and many of the other great thinkers of history calibrate here. The shortcomings of this level involve the failure to
clearly distinguish the difference between symbols and what they represent. Reason does not of itself provide a guide to truth. It produces massive amounts of information and documentation, but lacks the capability to resolve discrepancies in data and conclusions. Reason itself, paradoxically, is the major block to reaching higher levels of consciousness. Transcending this level is relatively uncommon in our society.

Love: (500)

Love as depicted in the mass media is not what this level is about. For when this love is frustrated, it often reveals an underlying anger and dependency that it had masked. That love can turn to hate in a common perception. Hence love never existed for hate only stems from pride not love. The 500 level is characterized by the development of a Love that is unconditional, unchanging, and permanent. It doesn’t fluctuate – its source isn’t dependent on external factors. Loving is a state of being. It’s a forgiving, nurturing, and supportive way of relating to the world. Love isn’t intellectual and doesn’t proceed from the mind; Love emanates from the heart. Love focuses on the goodness of life in all its expressions and augments that which is positive. This is the level of true happiness. Only 0.4% of the world’s population ever reaches this level of evolution of consciousness.

Joy: (540)

As Love becomes more and more unconditional, it begins to be experienced as inner Joy. Joy arises from within each moment of existence, rather than from any other source; 540 is also the level of healing and of spiritually based self-help groups. From level 540 up is the domain of saints, and advanced spiritual students and healers. A capacity for enormous patience and the persistence of a positive attitude in the face of prolonged adversity is characteristic of this energy field; the
hallmark of this state is compassion. People who have attained this level have a notable effect on others. They’re capable of a prolonged, open gaze, which induces a state of love and peace. At the high 500s, the world one sees is illuminated by the exquisite beauty and perfection of creation. Everything happens effortlessly and by synchronicity. A Presence is felt whose power facilitates phenomena outside conventional expectations of reality, termed miraculous by the ordinary observer. Near-death experiences, characteristically transformative in their effect, have frequently allowed people to experience the energy level between 540 and 600.

Peace: (600)

This energy field is associated with the experience designated by such terms as transcendence, self-realization, and God-consciousness. It’s extremely rare, attained by only 1 in 10 million people. When this state is reached, the distinction between subject and object disappears, and there’s no specific focal point of perception. Perception at the level of 600 and above is sometimes reported as occurring in slow motion, suspended in time and space – nothing is stationary, and all is alive and radiant. Although this world is the same as the one seen by others, it has become continuously flowing, evolving in an exquisitely coordinated evolutionary dance in which significance and source are overwhelming. This awesome revelation takes place non-rationally, so that there is an infinite silence in the mind, which has stopped conceptualizing. That which is witnessing and that which is witnessed take on the same identity; the observer dissolves into the landscape and becomes equally the observed. Great works of art, music, and architecture that calibrate between 600 and 700 can transport us temporarily to higher levels of consciousness and are universally recognized as inspirational and timeless.

Enlightenment: (700 – 1,000)

This is the level of the Great Ones of history who originated the spiritual patterns that countless people have followed throughout the ages. This is the level of powerful inspiration; these beings set in place attractor energy fields that influence all of mankind. At this level there is no longer the experience of an individual personal self separate from others; rather, there is an identification of Self with Consciousness and Divinity. This is the peak of the evolutionary consciousness in the human realm. At this level there is no longer any identification with the physical body as “me”, and therefore, its fate is of no concern. The body is seen as merely a tool of consciousness through the intervention of mind, its prime value that of communication. This is the level of non-duality, or complete Oneness. The highest level attained by anybody who has lived in recorded history – to wit, the Great Avatars for whom the title “Lord” is appropriate: Lord Krishna, Lord Buddha, and Lord Jesus Christ.

The concept and theories behind these experiments were conducted over a 20 year period using a variety of Kinesiology tests and examinations. Kinesiology has an almost certain 100% accuracy reading every time. It will always reveal Yes, No, True, and False answers. Muscle Weakness on falsity, strength on truth.

Powerful patterns are associated with health, weak patterns are associated with sickness. Every thought, emotion, word & action has one pattern or the other. Every moment of our day we are either moving towards health or sickness,, or towards light or darkness.

Collective Consciousness: These experiments reveal that there is a higher power that connects everything and everyone. It reveals that the truth cannot be hidden even if the rational mind isn’t consciously aware of the truth. Through these tests people have come to realize the truth about things that they weren’t consciously aware even existed.
The power of the few individuals at the top counterbalances the weakness of the masses.

1 individual at level 300 counterbalances 90,000 individuals below level 200

1 individual at level 400 counterbalances 400,000 individuals below level 200

1 individual at level 500 counterbalances 750,000 individuals below level 200

1 individual at level 600 counterbalances 10 million individuals below level 200

1 individual at level 700 counterbalances 70 million individuals below level 200

12 individuals at level 700 equal one Avatar (eg. Buddha, Jesus, Krishna) at level 1,000

Any meaningful human satisfaction cannot even commence until the level of 250 where some degree of self confidence begins to emerge.

When one’s consciousness falls below 200 at any given moment you start to lose power and thus grow weaker and more prone to be manipulated by one’s surroundings.

Parts of one’s life will calibrate at a higher level of consciousness while other parts will calibrate a lower levels. It’s the overall average that determines one’s consciousness.

Empower Goals with a Vision Board

We are hearing more everyday about the power of the human mind. I have devoted the last months to do a research on the power of the mind and our intrinsic abilities to manifest all that we desire. The subject is vast and deep but I’d like to focus today on the power of the vision board. Before explaining how this powerful tool contributes to the manifestation process, here is a brief description of the vision board for those who are new to this concept.

Essentially, a vision board is a collage of pictures and words that illustrate the life you want to live.

I am not explaining a step by step process to create your vision board per se, but describing in a few words how it can help you change your mindset.

  • A vision board enhances your ability to create and to hold a consistent visual image of your desired goals in your mental screen
  • It is not only a reminder of your destination but also a tool to track your accomplishments
  • The process of creation of the vision board gives you the opportunity to infuse your projects with the passion that only you can add to make your dream a reality.
  • It helps you stay focus, motivated and committed
  • You will experience yourself as if you were already the person you want to become or had that what you are wanting to obtain, giving you a stronger sense of self-confidence and self-worth
  • As the energy gap between the possible and the reality diminishes you become a powerful magnet to success

With that being said, I’m leaving here a few tips to help you kick start or take your success a step further.

  1. Connect to your soul to determine and prioritize your goals
  2. Make a vision board that encompasses some or all areas of your life: love, career, relationships, health & fitness, friends & family, finances, creativity, personal growth and travel and fun, or create one for a specific area or goal (a new home, a change of career, etc)
  3. You may also choose to create a board for one single area, or goal (Weight loss, love, new job/career, etc)
  4. Charge your board with your best energy. Make the process fun and exciting
  5. Use the most appealing pictures and words that best represent both, your personality and big dreams
  6. Choose the pictures that speak to you
  7. Illustrate also emotions and states of mind (patience, strength, etc)
  8. Place your board on a place where you see it often and practice experiencing the feelings of having it all now

It’s time to kick start your next vision board or to take the one you have already started to the next level!

Is Hormone Imbalance Causing You Anxiety and Depression Outbursts?

When I thought of hormone imbalance, I always pictured menopause, hot flashes and low libido. The truth of the matter is that hormone imbalance does not happen only to middle-age women, and its effects aren’t just related to sexual nature.

Dr. Sara Gottfried says, “This is one of those myths that even most doctors believe! Many hormone levels – such as estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone – start to drift downward in your twenties. Other hormones, like cortisol, often spike too high and pull other hormones out of balance. Women younger than thirty may not yet feel affected by the aging process, but perhaps they want to get pregnant (or keep the option open) or avoid the wrinkles that they see on their mom’s face.”

Menopause occurs at a mean age of 51. Perimenopause, the years from about 35 to 50, are famous for hormonal chaos, but even Chinese Medicine recognizes that subtle hormonal shifts begin at age 28. Quite poetically, Chinese Medicine teaches that your energetic meridians are focused on your pelvic region during your reproductive years, and as reach toward menopause, chi starts to flow more toward your heart.

If you are experiencing mood swings, excessive fatigue, depression, lack of focus, and anxiety, it’d be a good idea to discuss with your doctor the need to take a look at your endocrine system,  the set of organs and glands (pituitary gland, hypothalamus, thyroid, adrenals, gonads, pancreas, and pineal gland) in charge of the production of hormones that are known for their role in cell communication in the body.

Stress, is without a doubt, one of the main causes of improper functioning of the endocrine system. Chronic stress results in excessive cortisol levels produced by the adrenal glands.

Whether you are experiencing physical or emotional stress caused by a challenging stage in your life, or  a drastic change of lifestyle(strict or unhealthy diet) , for example, the outcome may be the same, a depleted endocrine system, which in turns causes a hormone imbalance, and as a result you may find yourself dealing with a fluctuating mood leading you to a never-ending roller coaster of emotions ranging from mild depression and anxiety, to chronic and clinical depression.

If you believe that hormone imbalance is causing you anxiety and depression, here are REAL solutions to anxiety and depression induced by hormone imbalance and some steps to help you get your endocrine system back on track:

# 1. Learn and practice stress management techniques such as, tapping, mindful breathing,  yoga, and meditation.

Yoga is perhaps, one of my favorite REAL solutions to depression. During a yoga session you will be focusing on breathing, meditation and poses that have a positive effect on the endocrine system, reduces stress and helps balance hormones.

# 2. Develop healthy sleeping habits

Sleep is absolutely essential for repair and rejuvenation, and to maintain proper hormone balance since different hormones are replenished during sleep.

In order for these processes to take effect, your brain must pass through four levels of sleep cycles known as rapid eye movement (REM). The most restful and restorative state occurs during the second and third levels of sleep. If you are not long enough  in REM sleep each night, this may lead to hormonal disruption.

Developing a routine, having a set time for bed, and eliminating stimulating activities  before bed will improve the likelihood of getting a restful night of sleep

#3. Reduce or eliminate caffeine and alcohol

Studies in humans have shown that both, caffeine and alcohol, increases cortisol and epinephrine at rest, and that levels of cortisol after caffeine consumption are similar to those experienced during an acute stress. Drinking coffee, in other words, re-creates stress conditions for the body. Drinking more than 6 servings of alcohol per week raises your bad estrogen. (Dr. Sara Gottfried)

Compounding the problem, people tend to consume more caffeine during stressful periods (as nearly every student during exam season knows well). They add stress to stress, potentially making things even worse.(

#4. Eat good fats

In humans, a cross-national study found that higher fish consumption was well correlated with a lower annual prevalence of major depression. – See more at:

healthy_fatsIn humans, a cross-national study found that higher fish consumption was well correlated with a lower annual prevalence of major depression. Consistent with the finding that societies with a high consumption of fish appear to have a lower prevalence of mood disorders, abnormal levels of fatty acids in patients with mood disorders have been frequently reported.

Most hormones are made out of cholesterol and they can’t be produced in our body if we are lacking good fats. Increase your consumption of healthy fats, flax seeds, cold water fish,  nuts, seeds, coconut oil, grape seed oil and olive oil and supplement with high quality fish oil (EFA)

#5. Exercise your hormones into balance
During a workout your body releases endorphins, dopamine and serotonin (pleasure producing). Choose a fun workout that is suitable to your preference and style. If you dread work out time you will defeat its purpose. The old  “No pain, no gain” myth is not more than that. Even though physical activity is recommended as a stress relief approach, over-stressing routines may elevate your cortisol levels as well.
