Reiki: Restore, Re-balance and Renew

Are you stressed?

Mentally and/or physically exhausted?

Believe it or not, your body is programmed to heal, to nourish and restore itself to wholeness and wellness. But in order to perform these processes it is necessary to deactivate the “fight or flight” mode that daily, physical or mental stress triggers, so your system can focus on restoring the body’s own ability to heal itself.

Reiki is a gentle, alternative therapy that helps you Restore, Re-balance and Renew your MIND – BODY – SOUL harmony.

reiki ngsRecent research supports what Chinese medicine has promoted for thousand years , the correlation between emotions and dis-ease. Unresolved emotions are stored in the physical body causing an array of symptoms ranging from chronic pain, insomnia, headaches, weight issues and hormonal imbalance.

A Reiki treatment works at deeper levels to solve the underlying cause of both, physical and emotional issues instead of masking the symptoms. Several organizations across the nation are offering alternative therapies like Reiki to its employees to reduce health care costs and reduce absenteism while supporting the individual’s wellbeing.

Parker Hannifin, a fortune 250 manufacturing company offer its employees, nationwide, access to holistic care as part of the company’s preventative wellness program. Lilian Llanos is credentialed through NGS CoreSource as Reiki Practitioner to assist clients in overcoming stress and releasing emotional burden.

The Reiki Session

Reiki TreatmentDuring a Reiki session, you will lie down or sit comfortably, fully clothed. The practitioner may keep the hands lightly on or just above body, palms down, using a sequence of 12 to 15 different hand positions. Each position is held for about 2 to 5 minutes, or until the flow of energy is needed. You may experience the energy flow as warmth or tingling as you are also immersed in a deep feeling of calmness.

The number of sessions needed depends on the client’s issues and goals.

As the NCCIH Clearinghouse highlights,

Reiki should not be used to replace conventional care or to postpone seeing a health care provider about a health problem. If you have severe or long-lasting symptoms, see your health care provider. You may have a health problem that needs prompt treatment.

Tell all your health care providers about any complementary health approaches you use. Give them a full picture of what you do to manage your health. This will help ensure coordinated and safe care. For tips about talking with your health care providers about complementary health approaches, see NCCIH’s Time to Talk campaign.

“When I scheduled my first Reiki session, it was during the most stressful time of my life. Long story short, it felt like my entire world had turned upside down. Something inside me told me that I deserved to have reiki. And from the first time I met Lilian, I felt drawn to her peaceful energy. During the session, I was so relaxed that I actually fell asleep, and that is NOT normal for me! The best way I can describe the peace I felt is that it felt as though I was being cradled and loved in the arms of my Creator. I believe with all of my heart that this is Lilian’s divine purpose and I thank her for sharing her light with me.”

“Thank you for helping my first Reiki session to be calming. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into. There are still questions about what happened, but there are no stresses about what happened. The calm feeling I felt was similar to the calm feeling I experience on the temple. After pondering on the experience, I’d say it was like a spiritual massage with physical cues.”

What Is Behind Of Your Fear Of Judgement

One of our biggest fears is the fear of judgement, but fear of being judged, and our own self-judgement can become the biggest blocks in our road to success.

We must strive to let go of the need to judge people and experiences and categorize them as good or bad, right or wrong. Instead, focus on seeing greatness and perfection on ourselves, and all human beings.

If you could fully embrace the perfect being you are, how more joyful life would be?

What would you dare pursue?

Would you give yourself permission to dream big?

Stop trying to prove yourself worthy!

You’re worth isn’t determined by what you do, or have, but by who you are, a divine child of God.

Every morning, take the time to acknowledge your divine nature. Consider what you can manifest as the powerful co-creator you are, and see your life unfolding perfectly, right now, right here.

You are the creator of your destiny. Start living life without limits!

Forgive and Heal

How often do you allow yourself to sit with your emotions?

Most people just don’t it because raw emotions can be very painful.

Until we learn the importance of both, facing our emotions and digging deep to get to the root causes
for our behaviors, we will keep having the same responses to certain triggers. PERIOD.

In other words, if you had an experience as a child that caused you to feel abandoned, you may still be
running the core belief that you don’t deserve to be loved, and no matter how your relationship with your
partner goes you always end up feeling physically or emotionally abandoned.

You may even start to push your partner away to validate your belief, and to avoid the pain caused
by the anticipated rejection.  Whether your partner leaves on his/her own, or you push him/her away,
the result is the same, you will experience abandonment. (Been there. Done that ):)

This must and can change. Yes, you can forgive and heal. You can CHANGE the limiting beliefs that block your ability to create abundance and success in every area of your life.

You can CHOOSE to respond in a healthy way. You can make the CHOICE of taking responsibility for your thinking and responses.

As Viktor Frankl described it, this choice is “the ultimate of human freedom – the choice of attitude in any situation, no matter how adverse the circumstances.”

It’s time for you to start living life without limits, and I’m here to assist you to achieve your deepest
desires. Let’s do it!

Simply, contact me to schedule an “INNER” Discovery Session.

Live in the Moment!

A message from Dr. Wayne Dyer…

I love this message so much that I had to share it here. I hope you enjoy it and follow Dr. Wayne Dyer’s wisdom. If you want to sign up for Wayne’s Weekly Wisdom follow the link at the end of this article.

This day that you’re living right now is the only day you get. Period. You can resolve to be skinny when next July rolls around, or to quit smoking next month, or to write that book you’ve been meaning to, or to embark on your overdue exercise program by the end of this year. You can go about resolving until the cows come home, and you still have to live your life just like everyone else on the planet: One day at a time.

You can only live minute to minute. You can certainly use up your present moments thinking about what you’ll be doing in the future, but that doesn’t change the fact that you can only live in the now. The important question to be asking yourself is:

How am I going to live in the present moment this year?

Will I waste these moments reviewing the way I used to behave? Will I waste these moments reviewing how I would like to behave in the future rather than resolving to live each day to the fullest?

The New Year is a good time to initiate a plan so you can make some changes and help live your life to the fullest. See if you can practice thinking differently. Decide very specifically what it is that you would like to change about yourself in 2015. If you have some goals in mind, vow to work on them day by day rather than making them a year-long project.

When you set up day-to-day goals for yourself, you can begin living this way for the rest of your life. Remember this little piece of advice, which will be extremely helpful to you if you can incorporate it into your life: When you go for one entire day without eating sugar (or not smoking, or being assertive, or any other new behavior), you are a totally different person at the end of that day. What you must learn to do is let that totally different person decide on the second day whether to do it again on this new day, rather than letting the same old person decide today that it is going to be difficult in a couple of days anyhow, so what’s the use. Always let the New You make the decision, and then you’ll be living your present moments.

Remember, you are in control of all thoughts in your head. When you are using up your present moments to worry about the future, constantly reviewing the past to come up with how you should have done it differently, or contemplating disaster, remind yourself that you are wasting this particular present moment.

Practice cancelling out negative thoughts for a few minutes at a time. Vow to enjoy the next five minutes regardless of what has previously transpired or what you think is about to happen. Remind yourself of the folly of wasting your present moments on mental activity that focuses exclusively on your past or imagined future. All of your thoughts about what you should have done, or how terrible things were in the past will not change one tiny slice of the past.

As you celebrate this New Year and each precious present moment, here are 10 reminders to help you live in the Now:

  1. Remember that habits are changed by practicing new behavior. By practicing new thinking every five mintues, you’ll soon begin to master the art of present-moment living.
  2. Do an honest assessment of your “problems.” You’ll very likely discover that almost all of your problems are really in your head and not located in reality.
  3. Take time to be mindful of everything around you. Begin to look at your entire surroundings in a new light. Observe every detail on every face, every building and every object. If you do this often enough it will become a habit that will facilitate your being alive in every moment of the year.
  4. Change your attitude. Begin an attitude-redevelopment plan. That means practice enjoying everything you do.
  5. Be specific about what you want and take action. Decide on one thing that you would like to work on and do it today. Work at it daily, rather than making it a long-range objective.
  6. Create a self-improvement agenda for yourself. Put on your agenda whatever activities you’ve always thought about but never had time to do. Do them now.
  7. Rid yourself of mundane chores that are not really that important. Spend more time making your life a pleasure.
  8. Eliminate procrastination as a lifestyle. Instead of talking to yourself about what you are going to do next week or even tomorrow, use this time to start a new task.
  9. Don’t give up control of your life to others. You cannot enjoy the present moment if you are busy trying to make everyone else like you. People respect you more when you operate from a position of strength and self-reliance.
  10. Feel good about yourself. You are a magnificent human being. Always feel good about that self that you are always with.

For 2015, as I have for many other years, I vow to be fully alive and see the world the way Walt Whitman described it to be many years ago: “To me…every cubic inch of space is a miracle.” I really believe that.

I wish you a New Year filled with many miracles. May you live a long and productive life—one present moment at a time.

The Subconscious Mind and The Inner Process

The Importance of working with the Subconscious Mind

The information stored in the subconscious mind determines how we view, face and respond to our life experiences. To explain the concept, we usually represent the mind with the image of an iceberg, as you can see below. The top part represents the conscious mind, and the bottom part represents the subconscious mind.

The conscious mind is the part that does all the thinking and reasoning, and it takes about a 10% of the mind capacity. It is where your will resides, and where you make decisions and choices.

The subconscious mind, also called the emotional or feeling mind, holds every single one of your thoughts, feelings or ideas. This part of the mind also controls the processes that occur in your body without your conscious effort. Breathing, pumping blood in and out of your heart, and also driving, and riding a bike are good examples. Once the ideas and thoughts are impressed in the subconscious mind, they become part of your personality.

People often come for assistance to release emotions or experiences based on what they believe is causing the issues determined at a conscious level. The INNER Process allows the practitioner to detect the core issue determining the negative emotional responses that challenge us.

Breaking Free From Addictions

Addiction Protocol

The Addiction Protocol integrates two processes, Binaural Mind Messaging (Light Frames), and PsyChi, to empower you to eliminate the emotional charge of the past addictive behavior, and also the elimination of subconscious programming that triggers a specific craving whether that is a food, drug, alcohol or smoking addiction.

The Light Frames integrates THREE Proven Mind Technologies in ONE!

Binaural Beats Put simply, these are imbedded tones that the brain naturally follows into states of deep relaxation. Within minutes your brain reaches extraordinary levels of performance that would otherwise take years of practice to achieve. Binaural beats work by tricking the brain into hearing a phantom frequency that
isn’t really there. For example, if we play a 220 Hz carrier tone into the left ear and a 226.5 Hz carrier tone into the right ear, your brain perceives the difference between the two, which is a subtle beat frequency of 6.5 Hz, the same frequency associated with deep, meditative trances. Your brain naturally follows this frequency and you experience this meditative trance state. Binaural beats are a proven self-development tool that’s been Isochronic Tones This is the newest brainwave entrainment technology. Isochronic tones are manually created, equal intensity pulses of sound separated by an interval of silence. They turn on and off rapidly, but the speed depends on the desired brain frequency. The discrete nature of isochronic tones makes them particularly easy
Strategic Mind Messaging can help you change the way you view yourself and your life. Once you have a new image of yourself-as a healthy, happy, optimistic person-your fears and frustrations fade away and you no

Stages of Behavioral Changes
Change is a “process involving progress through a series of stages. Being aware of where you stand in this process is an important factor to determine success.

• Pre-contemplation (Not Ready)-“People are not intending to take action in the foreseeable future, and

can be unaware that their behavior is problematic”

• Contemplation (Getting Ready)-“People are beginning to recognize that their behavior is problematic,

12-Step Program for Simplifying Your Life – Dr. Wayne Dyer

Source: Wayne’s Weekly Wisdom Newsletter

For a moment, let’s imagine what it would be like to be fully alive without a physical shell or any of the stuff we need and desire for maintaining life on Earth. We’d have a mental energy that allowed us to move forward or backward, up or down, instantly creating whatever we desired. We’d be free to wallow in an exquisite existence without time or space as we know it. We’d be in a state of pure bliss, in love with everything and everyone. We’d have no duties or bills to tend to, no fear of losing anything, no one judging us, no possessions to insure, no demands on our time, and no goals to achieve.
What we’re envisioning is actually the world of Spirit, which we experienced before we came here and will return to when we shed our body (or as William Butler Yeats poetically called it, our “tattered coat upon a stick”).

Inspiration is a state of being here now in this material world, while at the same time reconnecting to our spiritual origins. In order to be receptive to inspiration, we need to eliminate the ego clutter that accumulates all too easily for most of us—after all, if we’re preoccupied with events and activities that have nothing to do with inspiration, we’re unlikely to notice its summons. So in order to achieve a reunion with our ultimate calling, we need to emulate the clear, uncomplicated world of Spirit.

This doesn’t mean that we should sit around doing nothing, awaiting Spirit’s arrival; instead, it means having faith that our spiritual connection flourishes in a life dedicated to joy, love, and peace. If our daily activities are so overwhelming that we don’t make these things our priority, then we’re disregarding the value of living a simple life.

My 12-Step Program for Simplifying Your Life

Here are 12 very specific tools for simplifying your life. Begin using them today if you’re serious about hearing that ultimate call to inspiration.

12-Step Program for Simplifying Your Life

Here are 12 very specific tools for simplifying your life. Begin using them today if you’re serious about hearing that ultimate call to inspiration.

1. Unclutter Your Life. You’ll feel a real rush of inspiration when you clear out stuff that’s no longer useful in your life:

If you haven’t worn it in the past year or two, recycle it for others to use. Get rid of old files that take up space and are seldom, if ever, needed. Donate unused toys, tools, books, bicycles, and dishes to a charitable organization.

Get rid of anything that keeps you mired in acquisitions that contribute to a cluttered life. In the words of Socrates, “He is nearest to God who needs the fewest things.” So the less you need to insure, protect, dust, reorganize, and move, the closer you’ll be to hearing inspiration’s call.

2. Clear your Calendar of Unwanted and Unnecessary Activities and Obligations. If you’re unavailable for Spirit, you’re unlikely to know the glow of inspiration. God will indeed work with you and send you the guidance—and the people—you need, but if you’re grossly overscheduled, you’re going to miss these life-altering gifts. So practice saying no to excessive demands and don’t feel guilty about injecting a dose of leisure time into your daily routine.

3. Be Sure to Keep Your Free Time Free. Be on the lookout for invitations to functions that may keep you on top of society’s pyramid, but which inhibit your access to joyful inspiration. If cocktail parties, social get-togethers, fund-raising events, or even drinking-and-gossiping gatherings with friends aren’t really how you want to spend your free time, then don’t. Begin declining invitations that don’t activate feelings of inspiration. I find that an evening spent reading or writing letters, watching a movie with a loved one, having dinner with my children, or even exercising alone is far more inspiring than getting dressed to attend a function often filled with small talk. I’ve learned to be unavailable for such events without apologizing, and consequently have more inspired moments freed up.

4. Take Time for Meditation and Yoga. Give yourself at least 20 minutes a day to sit quietly and make conscious contact with God. I’ve written an entire book on this subject called Getting in the Gap, so I won’t belabor it here. I will say that I’ve received thousands of messages from people all over the world, who have expressed their appreciation for learning how to simplify their life by taking the time to meditate. I also encourage you to find a yoga center near you and begin a regular practice. The rewards are so powerful: You’ll feel healthier, less stressed, and inspired by what you’ll be able to do with and for your body in a very short time.

4. Return to the Simplicity of Nature. There’s nothing more awe-inspiring than nature itself. The fantasy to return to a less tumultuous life almost always involves living in the splendor of the mountains, the forests, or the tundra; on an island; near the ocean; or beside a lake. These are universal urges, since nature is created by the same Source as we are, and we’re made up of the same chemicals as all of nature (we’re stardust, remember?).

Your urge to simplify and feel inspired is fueled by the desire to be your natural self—that is, your nature self. So give yourself permission to get away to trek or camp in the woods; swim in a river, lake, or ocean; sit by an open fire; ride horseback through trails; or ski down a mountain slope. This doesn’t have to mean long, planned vacations that are months away—no matter where you live, you’re only a few hours or even moments away from a park, campground, or trail that will allow you to enjoy a feeling of being connected to the entire Universe.

5. Put Distance between You and Your Critics. Choose to align yourself with people who are like-minded in their search for simplified inspiration. Give those who find fault or who are confrontational a silent blessing and remove yourself from their energy as quickly as possible. Your life is simplified enormously when you don’t have to defend yourself to anyone, and when you receive support rather than criticism. You don’t have to endure the criticism with anything other than a polite thank-you and a promise to consider what’s been said—anything else is a state of conflict that erases the possibility of your feeling inspired. You never need to defend yourself or your desires to anyone, as those inner feelings are Spirit speaking to you. Those thoughts are sacred, so don’t ever let anyone trample on them.

6. Take Some Time for Your Health. Consider that the number one health problem in America seems to be obesity. How can you feel inspired and live in simplicity if you’re gorging on excessive amounts of food and eliminating the exercise that the body craves? Recall that your body is a sacred temple where you reside for this lifetime, so make some time every single day for exercising it. Even if you can only manage a walk around the block, just do it. Similarly, keep the words portion control uppermost in your consciousness—your stomach is the size of your fist, not a wheelbarrow! Respect your sacred temple and simplify your life by being an exerciser and a sensible eater. I promise that you’ll feel inspired if you act on this today!

7. Play, Play, Play! You’ll simplify your life and feel inspired if you learn to play rather than work your way through life. I love to be around kids because they inspire me with their laughter and frivolity. In fact, if I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times: “Wayne, you’ve never grown up—you’re always playing.” I take great pride in this! I play onstage when I speak, and I’m playing now as I write.

Many years ago I was given a tremendous opportunity to appear on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. The man who took a chance on me, booking me even though I was an unknown at the time, was a talent coordinator named Howard Papush. It was my first big break, and I went on to appear on The Tonight Show 36 additional times. Now it’s my turn to say thank you to Howard. He’s written a wonderful book titled When’s Recess? Playing Your Way Through the Stresses of Life, which I encourage you to read. (Howard also conducts workshops that teach people how to play and have fun in life.) In the book, Howard shares this great quote from Richard Bach: “You are led through your lifetime by the inner learning creature, the playful spiritual being that is your real self.” I couldn’t agree more—by all means, get back in touch with your real, playful self, and take every opportunity to play! Notice how it makes everything so sweet, and so simple.

8. Slow Down. One of Gandhi’s most illuminating observations reminds us that “there is more to life than increasing its speed.” This is great advice for simplifying your life—in fact, slow everything way down for a few moments right here and now. Slowly read these words. Slow your breathing down so that you’re aware of each inhalation and exhalation…

When you’re in your car, downshift and relax. Slow down your speech, your inner thoughts, and the frantic pace of everything you do. Take more time to hear others. Notice your inclination to interrupt and get the conversation over with, and then choose to listen instead. Stop to enjoy the stars on a clear night and the cloud formations on a crisp day. Sit down in a mall and just observe how everyone seems in a hurry to get nowhere.

By slowing down, you’ll simplify and rejoin the perfect pace at which creation works. Imagine trying to hurry nature up by tugging at an emerging tomato plant—you’re as natural as that plant, so let yourself be at peace with the perfection of nature’s plan.

9. Do Everything You Can to Eschew Debt. Remember that you’re attempting to simplify your life here, so you don’t need to purchase more of what will complicate and clutter your life. If you can’t afford it, let it go until you can. By going into debt, you’ll just add layers of anxiety onto your life. That anxiety will then take you away from your peace, which is where you are when you’re in-Spirit. When you have to work extra hard to pay off debts, the present moments of your life are less enjoyable; consequently, you’re further away from the joy and peace that are the trademarks of inspiration. You’re far better off to have less and enjoy the days of your life than to take on debt and invite stress and anxiety where peace and tranquility could have reigned. And remember that the money you have in your possession is nothing but energy—so refuse to plug in to an energy system that’s not even there.

10. Forget about the Cash Value. I try not to think about money too frequently because it’s been my observation that people who do so tend to think about almost nothing else. So do what your heart tells you will bring you joy, rather than determining whether it will be cost-effective. If you’d really enjoy that whale-watching trip, for instance, make the decision to do so—don’t deny yourself the pleasures of life because of some monetary detail. Don’t base your purchases on getting a discount, and don’t rob yourself of a simple joy because you didn’t get a break on the price. You can afford a happy, fulfilling life, and if you’re busy right now thinking that I have some nerve telling you this because of your bleak financial picture, then you have your own barrier of resistance.

11. Make an attempt to free yourself from placing a price tag on everything you have and do—after all, in the world of Spirit, there are no price tags. Don’t make money the guiding principle for what you have or do; rather, simplify your life and return to Spirit by finding the inherent value in everything. A dollar does not determine worth, even though you live in a world that attempts to convince you otherwise.

12. Remember Your Spirit. When life tends to get overly complex, too fast, too cluttered, too deadline oriented, or too type A for you, stop and remember your own spirit. You’re headed for inspiration, a simple, peaceful place where you’re in harmony with the perfect timing of all creation. Go there in your mind, and stop frequently to remember what you really want.

Wallace D Watts Words of Wisdom

Wallace D Watts

(These are wise words and thoughts of Wallace D. Watts. I see this point of view as valid today as it was in the 1800’s. I know it is hard to comprehend it, and wrap it around the mind, when we are witnessing so many horrible things happening. The changes we desire will occur as we, as a society, reach higher levels of consciousness, and as we choose to see the perfection and greatness in every being, we will manifest more of that. Lilian)

“All’s right with the world.” That is the great fact. There is nothing wrong with
anything; there is nothing wrong with anybody.
All the facts of life you must contemplate from this standpoint.
There is nothing wrong with nature. Nature is a great advancing presence working beneficently for the happiness of all. All things in Nature are good; she has no evil.
She is not completed; for creation is still unfinished, but she is going on to give to man even more bountifully than she has given to him in the past. Nature is a partial expression of God, and God is love. She is perfect but not complete.

So it is of human society and government. What though there are trusts and
combinations of capital and strikes and lockouts and so on. All these things are part of the forward movement; they are incidental to the evolutionary process of completing society. When it is complete there will be harmony; but it cannot be completed without them. J. P. Morgan is as necessary to the coming social order as the strange animals of the age of reptiles were to the life of the succeeding period, and just as these animals were perfect after their kind, so Morgan is perfect after his kind.
Behold it is all very good. See government, and industry as being perfect now, and as advancing rapidly toward being complete; then you will understand that there is nothing to fear, no cause for anxiety, nothing to worry about. Never complain of any of these things. They are perfect; this is the very best possible world for the stage of development man has reached.

Are You Being Attacked by Energy Vampires

Do you ever find yourself feeling stressed out, guilty or physically exhausted after talking or interacting in some way with certain people?

Energy VampiresThese are the type of people who are still in the victim state. In their eyes, the world is always against them. They like to go over and over every single thing that goes wrong in their lives, and also enjoy anticipating negative experiences and outcomes.

You might known also the ones who are always demanding your attention, either through positive or negative behavior. They just want to get themselves into the “limelight,” at any cost. And we could go on and on, with the blamers, the drama queens, etc.

When you find yourself in the presence of these energy vampires the best thing to do would be to walk away. But this is not always an option and this is what this article is about, having tips at your hand to protect your energy field from energy vampires.

Shield Yourself

To shield yourself, just imagine, think, or see yourself completely enveloped in whatever color light you choose. They said shields wear off and that you need to reapply them approximately every 12 hours or so. I believe in the power of intention, so I set the intention for the shield to last until the next time a repeat the process.

Here are some colors you may choose from, according to Doreen Virtue, depending upon the situation you’re in:

  • WHITE LIGHT: Good for protection against crime or physical attack. Invokes additional angels around you.
  • PINK LIGHT: The pink shield protects against negativity. Helpful in situations where you’re around negative-minded, complaining, or gossipy people, as only love can permeate a pink shield.
  • GREEN LIGHT: A physical healing shield. Use the green shield for someone who’s injured or ill.
  • PURPLE LIGHT: Psychic protection. Shields against psychic attack and entities.
  • MIRRORED BALL: When you’re feeling vulnerable, or when your chakras are open and clean, and you’re about to go into harsh energy (such as crowds of strangers or an intense business meeting, for instance), see or feel yourself stepping inside of a mirrored ball. All negative energy bounce away from the ball.
  • LEAD SHIELD: The ultimate shield against negativity whenever a battle is anticipated, or you’re feeling extra vulnerable or open. See or feel yourself completely surrounded by lightweight lead metal, which nothing can penetrate.
  • TRIPLE SHIELD: Pick three or more of the colors and layer them on top of yourself for complete protection.

I used to do this process when I felt I needed to protect myself until I had the opportunity to interview my friend and mentor Trish Withus for my last telesummit. Trish is a gifted psychic and medium. She told us a beautiful experience she had when she realized a person she was doing business with was trying to cross her energy field. She said instead of shielding or blocking herself, she focused on opening up her heart chakra and allowing the energy of love to flow outwardly, and she no longer felt vulnerable to the negative energy. Since then, I have been using the same approach. It completely makes sense to me. Darkness can’t really resist the light and love energy.

Call On Your Angels and Other Beings of Light

They are always ready and excited to assist you. Archangel Michael is the angel of protection but you can call on any other angel you feel more drawn to, including your Guardian Angels.

Set Healthy Boundaries

Let people know what do you stand for, how much you are willing to give in, give away and/or do for them, and how important it is for you to keep a good balance in your personal and work environment.

Decide Before Hand How You Will Respond…

instead of waiting to react emotionally. Have a plan of action to implement as soon a you feel you’re mood and energy is being affected by other people.

And remember Like Attracts Like. If you keep attracting these kind of people to your awareness, it may be a good time to ask yourself how you are showing up in your life in the same or similar way. Please share below what is your favorite or most powerful approach to keep Energy Vampires at bay.

Spiritualizing Your Emotions by Joshua David Stone

Six-Step Process for Spiritualizing Your Emotions by Joshua David Stone, Ph.D

This article is taken from Joshua David Stone, Ph.D’s book called Soul Psychology — How to Clear Negative Emotions and Spiritualize Your Life.

Write down either the details of the incident or the exact behavior of the other person with whom you were dealing.  For example, maybe the incident was a traffic jam on the freeway, or your mate became angry with you.  The first step is just to write down objectively what has happened.

Step 2 :

Write down your response to either the incident or the other person.  For example, your response to the traffic jam might have been impatience and annoyance.  Your response to your mate might have been defensiveness and anger. This step is just to write down objectively how you responded, regardless of whether that response was appropriate or not.

Step 3 :

This is the key step.  Choose to look at the incident or the other person’s behavior as being your master teacher, instructing you on a lesson that you need to learn.  Imagine that the incident or person is an instrument that God is using to teach you a lesson and give you an opportunity to grow spiritually.  Your negative response stems from the fact that you are not looking at the situation as a teaching, lesson, challenge, and opportunity to grow.  The traffic jam is your master teacher.  Your mate’s anger is your master teacher.

Step 4 :

Make a list of all the psychological and spiritual qualities that you are being given the opportunity to learn.  In the example of the traffic jam, you are being taught patience; or preference rather than attachment; or how to look things as lessons; or surrender.  Perhaps the first things you are being taught with people is an example of how not to be.  Some people set good examples and some set bad examples.  You can learn from both.  You know how it feels to be on the other end of someone’s anger and attack, so that teaches you not to be that way.

Possible Lessons :

  • To own your personal power
  • To be the cause of your own emotions and not let your mate cause your emotions
  • Not to let your mate put you into the underdog position
  • To respond instead of react
  • To be a master instead of a victim
  • To learn when to talk and when to be silent
  • Forgiveness
  • Nonattachment
  • Transcendence of ego
  • To maintain the right relationship to self and relationship to God — the two most important relationships in your life.

You’ll find that many of your life lessons repeat themselves over and over again.

Step 5 :

After listing all the wonderful lessons and wisdom you have learned, then bless or thank the other person in your mind, or in person, for giving you the opportunity to learn these lessons.  Make a firm resolution that when you are again tested in the following day, week, or month, you are going to be mentally strong and prepared to respond appropriately.  Realize that you will indeed be tested again, either with the same person or incident or with a new person and new incident, until you master the lesson.

Step 6 :

Review your “Spiritualizing Negative Emotions” work on a weekly and monthly basis.  Use the six-step process for mastering your emotions anytime you get into a sticky emotional situation.  By using this process and doing it on paper, you will see more clearly what is happening.  Evaluate the amount of time and energy it now takes you to “learn you lessons.”  Remember that if you truly learn from this experience, you will never again have to experience those negative feelings.
